Performs mechanical and electrical maintenance and field service on JBT rental and/or sold equipment (citrus juice extractors and ESS support equipment) installed at customer sites across the region. Ensures reliable operation of equipment, effective communication on safety, and high standards of customer service, while accurately managing parts, documentation, and compliance with JBT policies.
Provide maintenance and service to JBT rental and/or sold equipment (citrus juice extractors and ESS support equipment) installed at various customer facilities in the region. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting the supply of spare parts, promoting a strong safety culture, and delivering excellent customer service.
Follow up on maintenance activities, spare parts supply, and identification of customer needs with plant, production, and maintenance managers.
Ensure the supply chain for spare parts for rental equipment (EJ and ESS), maintaining local stock levels to achieve delivery times shorter than factory lead times and aligned with customer requirements.
Perform on-site service to ensure high-quality customer support for mechanical and electrical maintenance of rental equipment in the region.
Assume responsibility for JBT equipment (rented or sold) during the assigned shift and at the customer site, ensuring equipment is kept in optimal operating condition.
Complete or assist in completing internal and external checklists and service reports, and submit them to the Service Coordinator or Supervisor in a timely manner.
Enter service work orders (OSM) into the GMS to record service time and spare parts used during maintenance activities.
Record and report hour meter readings.
Administer and reconcile physical inventory versus GMS system inventory, ensuring accuracy and proper control of parts and materials.
Understand and comply with JBT global safety policies and procedures.
Report unsafe conditions or unsafe acts in the workplace (Near Miss) in a timely and accurate manner.
Complete risk assessment forms for new equipment installations or visits to new customer sites.
Implement 5S practices in the work area to maintain order, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Ensure that customer facilities where JBT equipment is installed operate in a safe environment, in alignment with JBT safety standards.
Successfully complete and maintain all required training for apprentices and service technicians.
Comply with all JBT ethics policies and guidelines.
Support and participate in company training programs that promote the development of employee competencies.
Assist with onboarding and training of new hires, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
Participate in ethics training, work environment initiatives, and other seminars or programs aimed at employee development.
