Civics Teacher Profile
Colegio Ciudad de México is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Civics Teacher or Social Studies to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement engaging Civics curricula for [mention grade levels, e.g., middle school and high school] that align with constructivist principles, encouraging students to actively explore, question, and construct their understanding of civic concepts.

Facilitate inquiry-based learning experiences where students investigate real-world issues, analyze diverse perspectives, and develop informed opinions on civics, ethics, and governance.

Create a collaborative and student-centered classroom environment that promotes open discussion, respectful debate, and peer-to-peer learning.

Integrate interdisciplinary connections, particularly with history, economics, and current events, to provide a holistic view of civic responsibility.

Utilize diverse teaching methodologies including project-based learning, simulations, case studies, and community-based initiatives.

Assess student learning through authentic tasks that demonstrate conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and civic engagement, rather than rote memorization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, History, Sociology, Education, or a related field.

Proven experience teaching Civics or Social Studies, with a strong emphasis on constructivist methodologies and student-centered learning.

Deep understanding of civic principles, democratic processes, human rights, and ethical frameworks.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
