Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and execution-focused Project Manager contractor to serve as a trusted operational partner and right hand to the Principal Enterprise Architect. This role will support the daily management of the Enterprise Architecture team and the OCIDO Transformation and Automation team, helping coordinate work, track priorities, manage task flow, monitor status, and drive timely escalation when needed.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project and operational management discipline, be comfortable working across architecture, technology, and finance stakeholders, and have hands-on experience with Scrum and Jira. This role is critical to maintaining execution cadence, improving visibility, and ensuring the Principal Enterprise Architect can focus on strategic outcomes while the day-to-day motion of the teams remains organized, aligned, and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Coach Product Teams on Agile frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
Partner with the team’s Product Owner to lead developers, stakeholders, and other impacted players through Sprint Zero discovery and initial Product Backlog development to ensure teams are set up for success
Facilitate and lead team ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Demos, and Sprint Retrospectives
Track and report key metrics (e.g. team velocity, sprint burndown, budget spend, etc.) to Product Owner, stakeholders, and other impacted players
Coach individual team members when needed and facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
Identify and reduce external team dependencies
Identify and resolve/remove blockers that impede the team’s delivery ability
Promote continuous improvement in workflow, productivity, and outcome delivery
Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation
Assist with standing up the Agile Center of Enablement and Communities of Practices
Participate and even lead process improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and brainstorming workshops
Serve up to two teams depending on Product complexity
Other duties as assigned by manager
Skill Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Scrum Master or other related role (e.g. Business Analyst, Project Management, etc.)
Expertise in implementing Agile practices and delivering in a Product-centric model in large-scale organizations
SUPERVISION :
While the Scrum Master will not have formal people management / reporting responsibilities, they will support their Product team in delivering against sprint goals
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal : Product Owner, IT and Business Leadership, IT Delivery (Developers, Architects, UX Designers, Program Managers, etc.), and the PMO
External : Application / Systems Vendors (as applicable)
Other Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
PPM certification strongly preferred
Formal Six Sigma and Lean experience strongly preferred
Project Management experience strongly preferred
High degree of motivation, self-direction, and teamwork
Ability to work effectively in a highly-matrixed organization
Consistent ability to build consensus and lead work streams
Strong ability to communicate, influence, and partner effectively using strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in the following strongly preferred:
Agile Delivery Tools – Monday.com, Jira, Trello, etc.
Collaboration Tools – Mural, Miro, etc.
