We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Insurance Property & Casualty domain, spanning commercial and specialty lines beyond standard commercial property. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, fluent in AI prompting, and able to work US Eastern Time hours with some overlap with Europe. You will play a critical role in the Submission Management Platform, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to drive prompt engineering, business rule creation, and documentation.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the client on incoming items, offering feedback on prioritization and ensuring alignment with project leadership

Develop a strong understanding of the client's business and product landscape, including insurance workflows and requirements

Review and analyze submission documents to identify patterns that inform prompt creation

Apply best practices in AI prompt engineering to extract data elements from submission emails
-
Translate business requirements into clear, actionable prompts and business rules

Clarify requirements with business partners at the client within the defined scope

Create, revise, and maintain business rules and detailed user stories related to prompt engineering and business logic
-
Develop placeholders for technical user stories to support comprehensive planning and prioritization
-
Take ownership of documentation, user stories, and knowledge transfer related to business logic and prompt engineering

Set up and manage boards and teams in Azure to track work and assignments
-
Support QA and development teams with business context and subject matter expertise, bridging knowledge gaps in insurance topics

Guide business partners through UAT, analyzing, clarifying, and answering business-related questions

Organize and facilitate stand-ups, partnering with the Delivery Manager to provide status updates to the client

Assist with production deployment runbooks and Wiki documentation related to business processes

Provide first-response triage for production issues, acting as the primary point of contact for business teams

Create Change Control Board (CCB) requests with detailed business context

Conduct post-production validation and communicate release notes to business users

Provide ongoing production support
Requirements
-
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
-
At least one year of experience leading and managing teams
-
Deep knowledge of the insurance value chain, particularly from submission through policy issuance, including quoting and binding
-
Knowledge of specialty products, especially Excess lines such as Excess Casualty, Professional Liability, Medical Liability, and Products and Contractors

Ability to facilitate and lead requirement gathering sessions

Skilled at building relationships with key business stakeholders

Experience with user story elaboration, backlog refinement, and prioritization, acting in a product owner capacity

Experience working with development teams to define and deliver end-to-end features
-
Ability to define acceptance criteria for user stories and collaborate with QA teams to test features

Experience providing first-level operational support to business users and underwriters across various segments
-
Experience monitoring Teams channels for production issues and performing initial triage
-
Fluency in AI prompt engineering and related best practices

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency in creating user stories, business rules, and supporting documentation

Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for work tracking and team management
-
Ability to support QA, UAT, and production processes using business expertise

English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills
