JOB SUMMARY:
The production manager will be involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing, assembly and QC monitoring and shipping processes. The production manager will ensure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality. This position will maintain and improve systems for achieving company goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Employee Morale. The position will also interact with other departments to achieve company financial goals while operating within a set budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:

Responsible for daily operation of the manufacturing and packing process and the quality of output.

Review lead times, place orders in the scheduler and release order to production

Coordinates the efforts with other departments, as required, to ensure that the programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of sales orders and budgets.

Ensure efficient and productive manufacturing processes that meet customer requirements and related QMS requirements.

Advises management of the schedule status and problems (or potential problems) on a regular basis.

Anticipates potential schedule or priority delays and initiates plans for alternative actions.

Organize and oversee packaging material inventory.
-
Responsible for supervision and training of production Associate.
-
Direction and scheduling of manufacturing maintenance activities.
-
Implementation of Hazard communication and PPE/Safety programs.
-
Set standards for areas of responsibility regarding yearly measurable metrics.

Suggest headcount adjustments (up / down) as demand fluctuates.
- Shift to shift coordination.

- Process trials (changes in process, tooling, or equipment)
- Determine line capacity in terms of men-hours.
- Determine headcount requirements based on installed capacity and actual demand.

Analysis charts and other key indicators for root cause analysis, trends, and correction
- Enforce 5S philosophy and other tools.
Quality:

Confirm routine quality checks.

Review rejects trends and activate problem-solving teams when required.

Lead non-conformance process.

Ensure data is captured and dispositions and corrective actions are performed.
Maintenance:

Ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment. Communicate the need for any proactive/reactive needs.

Recommend any equipment and facilities improvements.
Training:

Team Members development and cross-training
- Support personnel cross training between different operations
EHS:

Group safety performance
- Provide safety talks to team.
- Keep shop clean, organized, and free from safety hazards. The expectation is to prevent all accidents.

Suspend activities that jeopardize the physical integrity of personnel and plant facilities.

Suspend activities or operations that have a significant negative impact on the environment.
Management:

Know and communicate customer priorities and due dates.

Plan and manage resources to implement priorities.

Communicate with top management, issues that affect safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Communicate, reinforce, and monitor employees to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures. Perform corrective action if required. Create personnel ratings and reviews. Provide regular feedback to ensure teamwork and morale is enhanced and integrity is never compromised.

Be knowledgeable of personnel qualification/certifications as related to in-housework. Direct all in-process inspections and associated employees.
