Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Workday Financials Consultant with strong expertise in Accounting Center / CODA and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes to support a global financial systems environment.
This role focuses on ensuring stable financial operations, supporting accounting logic, and enabling accurate financial data flow across Workday Financials and integrated systems.
The consultant will act as a functional SME for financial accounting processes, with additional exposure to integrations and system troubleshooting in collaboration with technical teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Financials / Accounting (Primary Focus)
- Serve as SME for Workday Financials (R2R / GL / accounting processes)
- Support and maintain Accounting Center / CODA configurations and logic
- Configure and troubleshoot:
- Journal generation rules
- Accounting transformations
- Ledger and reconciliation processes
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit, and accounting standards
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Audit teams to resolve financial data issues
Financial Operations Support
- Investigate and resolve journal errors, posting failures, and reconciliation issues
- Support financial data integrity across multi-entity, multi-currency environments
- Provide operational backup for critical finance processes
Integrations & Technical Collaboration (Secondary)
- Support Workday integrations impacting Financials in coordination with technical teams, including:
- Studio integrations (troubleshooting and issue resolution)
- EIBs and Core Connectors
- API-related financial data flows (REST/SOAP awareness)
- Assist in identifying and resolving data flow and orchestration issues
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams
- Translate business accounting requirements into Workday configuration
- Support production issues and provide functional resolution guidance
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Workday Financials (R2R / GL / core finance)
- Hands-on experience with Accounting Center or CODA
- Experience supporting enterprise financial operations or Workday implementations
- Understanding of financial data flows, accounting rules, and journal logic
- Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments
- Advanced English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Workday Studio exposure (support or troubleshooting)
- Experience with EIBs and Core Connectors
- Basic understanding of REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with Workday Extend
- Background in audit-heavy or regulated environments
