Manufacturing Engineer Coordinator
Support and coordinate manufacturing engineering activities to ensure efficient, safe, and cost‑effective production. Act as the link between engineering, production, quality, and suppliers to implement process improvements, manage changes, and maintain documentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate day‑to‑day manufacturing engineering tasks and small projects to meet production targets.
- Support process development, line setup, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
- Facilitate production change control and ensure documentation (PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, routings) is current.
- Lead root‑cause analyses for production issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen) initiatives to reduce cost, waste, and cycle time.
- Interface with procurement and suppliers on tooling and equipment specifications.
- Track and report key manufacturing metrics; support capacity planning and cost analysis.
- Train production personnel on new processes and safety practices.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years manufacturing or process engineering experience (electronics/precision/manufacturing environments preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project coordination skills.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Experience with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks), ERP/MRP systems, and MS Excel.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
