The Chapman Freeborn OBC team is looking for a Time-Critical Transport Logistics Coordinator to join the team in the Polanco area of Mexico City, Mexico. The successful candidate will be passionate about the logistics industry, target- and goal-driven, and have experience in On Board Courier Brokerage.
Purpose of the Role

To maximize business opportunities by offering tailor-made solutions to meet clients’ requests within budgetary and operational restrictions, whilst making a suitable profit for the Company

To build strong, productive relationships with clients to ensure that the needs of the client and business are met
Responsibilities of the Role
- To handle customers’ requests via telephone calls or emails for OBC services, follow up, and work towards job confirmation

To monitor /track ongoing shipments and keep in constant communication with the responsible courier and/or customers

Liaise and give clear, detailed instructions and information to Couriers on their assignments

Supply Couriers with all mandatory official documentation for the local Customs and Immigration Office and arrange their travel itineraries

Prepare and compile files for all jobs and ensure all relevant documents are in place for future reference and invoice purposes

Be willing to make business/duty trips abroad at short notice and, if necessary, perform courier duties, including pickup and delivery

Be willing and able to work in shifts, which may include irregular hours

Be aware of and comply with the Company’s policies
Qualifications
- Experience as an OBC Broker highly preferred

Experience in arranging hand-carry shipments, OBC / on board courier shipments

Experience within Airfreight or Logistics Companies, Airlines or the Travel Industry

Knowledge of basic airline reservation systems e.g., Amadeus, is an advantage

Valid driver’s licence would be an advantage
