Role Purpose
Support the deployment of modern test equipment in connectivity production lines to improve manufacturing capability, increase capacity, and reduce operational costs. This role offers hands-on experience in optical fiber connectorization processes, troubleshooting, process innovation, and manufacturing engineering, while enabling the intern to apply academic knowledge in a real industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Support the deployment of modern test equipment in connectivity production lines.
Assist in activities related to increasing manufacturing capability and production capacity.
Help identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through process and equipment improvements.
Perform software and hardware troubleshooting for production and test equipment.
Support data analysis activities to monitor process and equipment performance.
Participate in process innovation initiatives, including the application of AI / machine learning concepts.
Assist in test profile deployment and validation on manufacturing lines.
Support documentation, reporting, and follow-up of engineering activities during the internship.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on continuous improvement projects.
Required Skills
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics or Information Technology (IT).
Basic knowledge of software and hardware troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of electronics and PLC programming / PLC concepts.
Analytical mindset and interest in manufacturing and process improvement.
Basic communication and teamwork skills.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of statistics and advanced Microsoft Office tools.
Basic knowledge of mechanical design.
Interest or knowledge in machine learning or AI applications in manufacturing.
Ability to analyze data and support engineering decisions.
Interest in optical fiber connectorization processes and manufacturing engineering.
