DESCRIPTION
Quote Analyst:
Responsible for the preparation and coordination of Request for Quotations (RFQ's) for materials components, subassemblies and/or services based on quote requirements received from various departments within the organization (i.e. Program Management, Sales). Analyzes quotations for content in addition to preparing complete costs analyses. Defines needs, clarifies discrepancies and determines the structure of BOM. Monitor RFQ through process and resolve issues that come up. Complete costing information including generation of costed BOM's, identifying exceptions and assumptions, and identifying and documenting all unique costs and issues. Responsible for supplier selection, make/buy decisions, interfacing with sales and customer to resolve issues. At the highest level, may also be responsible for watching technology trends and preparing cost reduction and other recommendations based on those trends.
REQUIREMENTS
Education :
-
Bachelor's degree in business, mechanics, supply chain or equivalent.
Experience :
-
+5 years of experience as a general level buyer, commodity specialist, or other quoting/supply chain role. Strong leadership, project management, negotiation experience required.
Knowledge :
-
Quoting or Purchasing experience.

Ability to work with various software to access, evaluate, and interpret drawings

Ability to review drawings and select suppliers based on parameters in

Familiar with various quoting processes relating to sheet metal, machined or plastic parts.
