SR Cloud Engineer

- Design, implement, govern, and evolve enterprise-grade Cloud and Telco architectures based on OpenShift, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, Telecommunications, or Enterprise Infrastructure environments.
- Extensive experience designing and deploying OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
- Extensive experience designing, deploying, upgrading, and operating OpenStack environments.
- Strong expertise in Cloud Architecture, High Availability, Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, and Capacity Planning.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux Enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including routing, VLANs, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and distributed architectures.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, performance tuning, and capacity management.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, platform hardening, identity management, certificates, segmentation, and governance practices.
- Proven ability to lead technical decisions, architecture reviews, and strategic platform initiatives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting telecommunications platforms and mission-critical environments.
- Experience with Cloud-Native Functions (CNFs) and Virtual Network Functions (VNFs).
- Knowledge of 4G/5G Core Mobile architectures and workloads.
- Experience with SR-IOV, DPDK, CPU Pinning, NUMA Awareness, HugePages, and Multus CNI.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift networking and workload optimization.
- Experience designing low-latency and high-throughput platforms.
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Experience leading platform modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives.
- Experience with SRE and DevOps operating models.
- Familiarity with compliance, governance, and enterprise cloud operating frameworks.
- Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Cloud, or Telecommunications-related certifications.
- Previous experience leading technical teams, architecture councils, or cloud transformation programs.
- Lead OpenShift and OpenStack deployments across production and non-production environments.
- Define architecture standards, technical roadmaps, governance frameworks, and operational best practices.
- Plan and execute OpenShift and OpenStack upgrades, including impact assessments, compatibility reviews, rollback strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Design and implement scale-out strategies to support capacity growth, resiliency, and high availability requirements.
- Define and oversee platform performance, scalability, security, observability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration across compute, networking, storage, security, automation, and container platforms.
- Translate business, operational, and telecommunications requirements into technical architecture decisions.
- Define deployment patterns for latency-sensitive and high-performance workloads.
- Lead architecture reviews, platform assessments, capacity planning, and technology evolution initiatives.
- Support Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs) and mission-critical telecommunications workloads running on OpenShift and OpenStack environments.
- Participate in high-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical platform incidents.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, operations, DevOps, SRE, development teams, and technology vendors.
- Document architectures, design decisions, standards, procedures, and platform evolution plans.
