The role of Portfolio Strategy & Planning is to develop Mexico team vision and identify an effective structure and resourcing for Lilly’s pipeline.Will assess commercial opportunities, inform on commercial decisions, engage in appropriate pre-launch marketing activities, and develop Innovation Readiness strategies.Partners with various cross functional teams (e.g. Global, IBU, PRA, Marketing, Medical, Regulatory and Investigator Engagement) especially on the development of early product and therapeutic area strategies.Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively partner with Global/IBU teams to inform commercial decisions on pipeline planning and product development strategy, ensuring appropriate early commercial planning and execution.
- Develop financial forecasts and business cases to assess commercial opportunities for internal assets, support business development efforts if applicable.
- Lead launch excellence framework, coordinating with Globa/IBU and local teams to assess pathway opportunities to accelerate new product launch (Regulatory/Access)
- Ensure launch readiness of new products until transition to local brand team and partner with affiliate lead team for strategic planning.
- Understand and communicate requirements for regulatory approval (registration), access to market (pricing and reimbursement), and market differentiation required for the successful commercialization of new products.
- Develop local Innovation Readiness strategies, partnering closely with VEO, corporate affairs, PRA, clinical development and medical affairs.
- Leverage multiple primary and secondary data sources to develop strategic recommendations for products in clinical development.
Basic Requirements
- Min 5 years of related experience in some combination of Marketing, New Product Planning, Market Access and/or Strategy Consulting.
- Previous Launch Experience
- Experience leading teams
- Critical thinking and strategic skills
- Effective project management and execution skill
- Ability to engage credibly with internal stakeholders regarding pipeline
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to interface seamlessly with senior leadership
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across several stakeholders
- English – Business level required
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Financial Background
- Comfort working in ambiguity/whitespace and ability to develop strategic frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence. Further willingness to challenge and influence in a productive and constructive way.
- Spanish– Business level preferred
