Plant Manager

A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and transform its manufacturing operation in Mexico. This executive-level position will be responsible for driving operational excellence, business performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term strategic growth within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership

Lead all manufacturing operations including Injection Molding, Tooling, Automation, Assembly, Maintenance, Quality, Materials Management, and Supply Chain.

Develop and execute the plant’s operational strategy aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.

Drive Lean Manufacturing (LM), Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Optimize production planning, capacity utilization, labor productivity, OEE, inventory performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
Financial & Business Management
-
Full ownership of Plant P&L performance.

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and long-term investment strategies.

Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining operational excellence, product quality, and customer service levels.

Monitor conversion costs, labor efficiency, inventory turns, scrap reduction, and overall profitability.
Customer & Supply Chain Excellence

Ensure achievement of customer KPIs related to Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Service.

Partner with Customer Planning, Production Planning, Materials, and Supply Chain teams to maintain operational continuity and on-time delivery.

Strengthen customer relationships through proactive problem-solving, operational responsiveness, and continuous performance improvement.
Engineering, Quality & Continuous Improvement

Lead process optimization through Scientific Molding methodologies.

Support new product launches, tool transfers, PPAP approvals, process validations, and capacity expansion projects.

Champion compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and customer-specific requirements.

Drive corrective and preventive actions focused on sustainable results.
People Leadership

Build and develop high-performing leadership teams.

Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.

Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines across the organization.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.

MBA preferred.

10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.

Proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations.

Strong expertise in Injection Molding, Automation, Tooling, Process Optimization, and Lean Manufacturing.

Demonstrated experience with P&L management, Forecasting, Capital Planning, Production Planning, Customer Planning, and Cost Management.

Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Experience within multinational manufacturing organizations is highly preferred.
