AWS is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to provide expert guidance to our Financial Services customers. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping Financial Services organizations optimize their adoption and leverage of AWS technologies.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Financial Services industry, comprehensive knowledge of Financial Services applications and infrastructure, and a strong understanding of how cloud services can empower customers to Modernize their applications, migrate their data centers to AWS, and Accelerate the development of innovative industry solutions. As the Senior Solutions Architect, you will leverage your domain expertise to architect and deploy resilient, secure, and scalable cloud-based solutions that address the unique needs of Financial Services organizations. You will collaborate closely with customers to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and compliance constraints, and then recommend the optimal AWS services and best practices to meet their goals. Key job responsibilities
Solutions Architects have 4 main responsibilities:
1. You will act as a consultant to customers. In partnership with the account team, formulate and execute a strategy to enable customer success. Help customers adopt AWS services and make the best use of them, generating revenue as a result. Educate customers on the AWS value proposition and participate in architecture discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful cloud deployment. Build trust with technical individuals within customer organizations so they become cloud advocates.
2. You will be a technical reference. Transfer knowledge to customers. Capture and share knowledge and best practices within the AWS solutions architecture community. Contribute to AWS customer publications such as whitepapers, posts, or blogs. Present and contribute to workshops, user groups, online videos, and conferences.
3. You will be in continuous professional growth. Be curious and keep learning. Demonstrate your learning through AWS Certifications. Work with others to help them deliver more. Participate in meetups and conferences.
4. You will develop and execute organizational improvements. Act as a technical link between customers and service engineering teams to improve AWS services and features. Contribute your ideas for innovation to internal teams and customers. Simplify processes that can be simplified. Help hire and develop talent.

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 6+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
