Our manufacturing plant in Guadalajara, Mexico plays a key role in our global operations. The site specializes in the production of HD Liquid Acids, Diluted Solution for Hemodialysis, Bicarbonate Solution, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Sodium Citrate—primarily for export to the United States and Canada. With over 700 employees, the site also supports Product and Process Development, as well as Sustaining Engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of our therapies and ensuring high-quality standards across our product portfolio. As a Metrology Technician, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measurement and calibration systems. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, calibration, documentation, and verification activities on measuring and control instruments while supporting GMP compliance, validation activities, and continuous operational excellence throughout the facility.
Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on measuring and control instruments within the assigned area.

Ensure proper use and handling of calibration equipment, measuring devices, manual tools, and workshop equipment.

Maintain and calibrate pneumatic, electronic, and automated instrumentation systems, including PLC-controlled equipment.

Execute calibration procedures and preventive maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures and GMP requirements.

Generate and maintain calibration reports, procedures, labels, and related documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

Maintain accurate records associated with preventive maintenance and calibration activities.

Support validation activities through the calibration of validation instruments and process equipment.

Assist with validation studies and verification activities involving measurement and monitoring devices.

Ensure calibration standards, tools, and equipment remain in proper operating condition and within calibration requirements.

Apply established procedures for preventive maintenance, calibration, and instrument verification activities.

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the metrology and instrumentation workshop and all assigned work areas.

Monitor compliance with GMP requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

Escalate equipment or calibration-related issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Technical Degree, Technologist Diploma, or Engineering Degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Metrology, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation, metrology, calibration, or a similar technical role.

Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.

Experience with calibration standards, measurement systems, and preventive maintenance programs.

Familiarity with GMP requirements and calibration procedures.

Experience using calibration equipment, precision measurement devices, and workshop tools.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals, specifications, and procedures.

Technical English proficiency preferred.
