Job Description:
The Senior Materials Planner – PFEP Master Data is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Plan For Every Part (PFEP) database that drives material replenishment, inventory strategy, and logistics decisions across the facility. This role owns the accuracy and integrity of PFEP master data elements — including part attributes, packaging, container types, point-of-use locations, supplier lead times, transportation modes, and replenishment strategies — and partners cross-functionally with Purchasing, Production Control, Logistics, Engineering, and Suppliers to ensure the data reflects real-world material flow. The Senior Materials Planner also mentors junior planners and leads PFEP-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

5+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or logistics, with direct hands-on experience building and maintaining PFEP databases

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, material flow design, and inventory management strategies (Kanban, JIT, min/max)

Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros)

Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex datasets with a high degree of accuracy

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

Excellent cross-functional communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with automotive, aerospace, or high-mix manufacturing environments

Experience with PFEP software tools or Power BI/Tableau for data visualization

Six Sigma / Lean certification

Experience mentoring or leading a team of planners
