Position Objective/Purpose: Responsible for production management in machining processes, as well as production and human resource planning. Authorities: Consult FMI-143 for individual standard operating procedures related to authorities/responsibilities in management systems. Main Responsibilities: • Review dispatch at the beginning and end of the shift, identifying each order. • Correctly identify the types of material to be processed and assign priorities to operators. • Read and communicate instructions established in supporting documentation such as setup, visual aids, process charts, drawings, alerts, and flow charts. • Management and operation of conventional milling machines, a conventional lathe, and secondary operations. • Interpretation of drawings. • Execution and coordination of work orders for the production of products pending machining. • Operation and maintenance of machining equipment through MP2. • Setup, process inspection, and self-directed inspection. • Process inspection and self-directed inspection of first parts. • Including all activities inherent to the position. Competencies and Skills: Weighting/Level: (1-Basic, 2-Intermediate, 3-Advanced, 4-Specialized) • Technical or high school diploma. • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the machining and tooling field or a similar position. • Handling and knowledge of at least two of the following equipment: (Milling machine, conventional and CNC lathe, CNC router, grinder, vertical band saw, circular saw, grinder, drill press, and tooling for all machining equipment). • Glovia system management • Pneumatics (Basic) • Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical control • Knowledge of mechanical systems • Knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of machine and tool equipment • Basic English
