Our manufacturing plant in Guadalajara, Mexico plays a key role in our global operations. The site specializes in the production of HD Liquid Acids, Diluted Solution for Hemodialysis, Bicarbonate Solution, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Sodium Citrate—primarily for export to the United States and Canada. With over 700 employees, the site also supports Product and Process Development, as well as Sustaining Engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of our therapies and ensuring high-quality standards across our product portfolio. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will support manufacturing operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and installation of instrumentation and control systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measuring and control instruments, while supporting production processes, utilities, critical services, and validation activities under GMP requirements.
Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on measuring and control instruments within the assigned area.

Ensure proper use and handling of calibration equipment, measuring devices, manual tools, and workshop equipment.

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and automated control instrumentation, including PLC systems.

Perform corrective actions for instrumentation and control failures in production equipment, utilities, laboratory equipment, and critical services.

Generate and maintain calibration reports, procedures, labels, logbooks, and documentation in compliance with GMP requirements.

Support process equipment validation activities, including calibration and validation testing.

Assist with validation studies utilizing validation equipment such as validators, loggers, Kaye systems, and related instruments.

Install, calibrate, configure, and adjust new instruments required for production processes and critical services.

Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records to ensure regulatory compliance.

Support maintenance department activities during corrective maintenance projects.

Monitor compliance with safety standards, GMP requirements, and company policies.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the instrumentation workshop and all assigned work areas.

Escalate equipment or process issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.

Assist with special projects and assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications

Technical Degree or Engineering Degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and calibration.

Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.

Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems.

Familiarity with GMP requirements and calibration standards.

Experience handling calibration instruments, testing equipment, and precision measuring devices.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals and documentation.

Technical English proficiency preferred.
