Position Summary
The Sales Team Leader is responsible for growing revenue while providing strong, day‑to‑day leadership to the sales organization. This role requires someone who sets clear expectations, holds the team accountable to deadlines, and addresses issues directly and constructively.
The Sales Team Leader will guide the team through pricing, quotes for new business, and technical/engineering change reviews—ensuring accuracy and sound decision‑making without taking over the team’s work. The ideal candidate develops people, challenges the team when needed, and creates an environment where they can learn, improve, and succeed.
This position combines commercial leadership with cross‑functional coordination to ensure customer expectations, business plans, and internal commitments stay aligned throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Customer Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify new business opportunities, expand existing accounts, and guide the team through customer negotiations and escalations
- Maintain strong customer relationships with clear communication and proper documentation of agreements
- Lead customer reviews and ensure commitments and expectations are consistently met
Commercial, Pricing & Contract Management
- Review and approve pricing, quotations, commercial offers, and financial assumptions for new business and engineering changes
- Oversee commercial contract reviews, negotiations, and compliance with internal and legal requirements
- Monitor commercial risks (pricing exposure, credit limits, claim costs, etc.) and collaborate with finance and legal to mitigate issues
Performance, Analytics & Execution
- Track KPIs, sales performance, bid success rates, and market trends to drive informed decisions
- Identify variances or gaps and push the team toward corrective action
- Ensure accurate, timely execution of sales operations, including SAP transactions, documentation and cross‑functional coordination throughout the product lifecycle
- Support engineering changes, renegotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team with clear expectations and daily engagement
- Hold the team accountable to deadlines, quality standards, and commercial rigor
- Provide direct, constructive feedback and foster a culture where team members own their work, grow from challenges, and improve through experience
- Promote strong communication, alignment, and collaboration across all departments
Process Improvement & Communication
- Deliver concise, data‑driven reports to senior leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and structured problem‑solving within the team.
- Ensure consistent, transparent communication of decisions and requirements internally and externally

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Minimum College degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, or a related field
- Bachelor or Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial management
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, including coaching, performance management, and holding team members accountable
- Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts—with customers, cross‑functional partners, and within the sales team
- Experience reviewing pricing, commercial quotes, contracts, and financial evaluations
- Background in negotiating customer agreements and navigating complex internal alignment
Skills & Competencies

- Fluent in English and Spanish; able to communicate across all organizational levels
