POSITION OBJECTIVE
Ensure proper operation and continuous improvement of machining area by optimizing, and implementing improvements in processes, tools and parameters to achieve stable, efficient, and high-quality operations that meet production and cost targets while reducing scrap, downtime and variability.
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES:
Ensure stability and capability of machining processes.
Optimize machining process parameters.
Define, validate, and follow up on cutting tools (tool life and performance).
Coordinate and ensure proper maintenance of tooling to guarantee availability and performance.
Analyze and solve process issues using root cause analysis.
Reduce scrap, downtime, and process variability.
Implement continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency and cost.
Support production during deviations and technical downtime.
Coordinate / participate in engineering changes, model changes, and process validations.
Work closely with quality, maintenance, and production teams to achieve targets.
Standardize processes and document improvements (work instructions, parameters, PFMEA).
Follow up with technical suppliers and tooling vendors.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and safe practices in machining processes.
Contribute to OPEX and CAPEX decision-making and planning.
Design, implementation, and maintainability of SMED.
Execute the implementation of new parts, projects, and transfers.
Execution of the INA process.
Follow BRP values and behaviors
Ensure a safe working environment and take full accountability for all safety related topics.
Enforce Quality BRP policy
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Core Tools – PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Metrology and measuring instruments
Equipment and tooling design
Machine geometry
Problem solving
Machining processes: Cutting Tools, Cutting fluids, Turning, Honing, Grinding, Induction HT .
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor: Engineering
3 years in machinery design & Mfg. environment
