The Plant Quality Manager has direct responsibility to foster a quality culture across his/her plant to meet or excel all customer requirements while meeting company business targets, this responsibility includes maintaining quality production levels to meet customer requirements. Implement program in quality control and compliance.
Your Role

Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations.

Establish and direct Plants Quality Policies & Procedures.

Lead the strategy to achieve sustained PPM reduction with Ford customers, through systemic actions and process control. QIA- Customer Complaint Tracking

Ensure zero active escalations related to Q1 / STA, maintaining strict compliance with customer requirements and immediate response to risks.

Ensure disciplined execution of problem-solving methodologies (8D), achieving:
Strengthen the effectiveness of early containment actions (GP12 / Safe Launch) through active leadership and urgency, ensuring implementation within- 24 hours.

Ensure Control Plan maturity and robustness, eliminating recurrence and closing gaps identified during KORN assessments and customer audits.

Drive a reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), including scrap, rework, and warranty, through preventive actions and root cause elimination.

Ensure 100% compliance with the FTQ daily management routine, including disciplined follow-up and effective closure of actions.

Demonstrate strong leadership in Quality Management System execution, establishing cadence, operational discipline, and proactive (not reactive) escalation of risks.

Implement a formal customer follow-up cadence (e.g., Ford reviews), ensuring timely and accurate information delivery and continuous visibility of progress.

Optimize resource utilization by balancing workload and prioritizing critical tasks, ensuring business continuity

Monitor plants quality on an ongoing basis and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.

Develop strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
Your Background
-
6 years of experience in the related field in an automotive harnesses manufacturing environment. Preferably with direct Ford experience
-
Proven experience managing Ford customers, STA, and Q1 requirements
-
Demonstrate strong influencing, negotiation, and customer dispute management skills, supported by assertive communication, emotional intelligence, and active listening, enabling the ability to build credibility, manage conflict, and effectively persuade customers through clear, data-driven technical argumentation to successfully resolve and win quality-related disputes.

Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.

Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement.

Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.

Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.

Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.

Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
