We are looking for a Mobile App Test Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced, global team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated test solutions for iOS and Android applications while ensuring high-quality releases through close collaboration with development, product, and QA teams.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in mobile test automation, manual testing, and QA best practices, with expertise in automation frameworks, API mocking, and Agile environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for iOS and Android applications
- Perform manual testing including exploratory, regression, functional, and smoke testing
- Create and manage test cases, test plans, and defect reports using JIRA and Xray
- Develop and maintain no-code/low-code automation scripts using modern automation platforms
- Write and maintain Java-based automation code for API, integration, and custom test scenarios
- Configure and maintain API mocking environments using WireMock
- Collaborate with developers to identify, reproduce, and validate software defects
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance
- Document QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing strategies
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mobile test automation for iOS and/or Android applications
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, defect lifecycle, and SDLC
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and exploratory testing techniques
- Experience using JIRA and Xray for test management and reporting
- Experience with no-code/low-code automation tools such as Sofy.ai, Maestro, TestProject, Katalon, or similar
- Experience configuring and using WireMock for API mocking and service virtualization
- Working knowledge of Java for automation development
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Appium, Espresso, or other open-source mobile automation frameworks
- Experience with cloud or on-premise device farms
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Exposure to AI-assisted test automation tools
- Experience with GraphQL API testing
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized test environments
