We are seeking a Senior UX Technical Designer to support a AAA fighting game project in Unreal Engine 5. Senior
The role bridges UX, art, design, and engineering, helping turn UX flows, prototypes, visual designs, and interaction concepts into polished in-engine UI experiences. The project is currently moving from pre-production into production. UI art direction is semi-established and expected to evolve, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable prototyping, iterating, and helping define implementation patterns as the project matures.

Implement UI screens, flows, widgets, animations, and interaction behaviors directly in Unreal Engine 5
-
Work with UX Designers to interpret user flows, wireframes, Figma designs, HTML prototypes, and design documentation

Partner with UI Engineers to create technically sound, scalable, and reusable UI structures
-
Collaborate with UI Artists to ensure assets are integrated accurately and polished in-engine
-
Prototype and refine frontend and in-match UI experiences across gameplay contexts
-
Support 2D UI implementation, including possible 3D-anchored 2D-rendered gameplay UI elements
-
Help implement expressive yet functional UI motion using UMG, Sequencer, materials, and Blueprint-driven workflows
-
Build and maintain UI prefabs, widgets, layouts, animation states, and interaction prototypes
-
Validate UI across mobile-centric and multi-platform experiences within the game ecosystem
-
Work with sound and VFX teams to align UI animations, celebratory moments, input feedback, and visual effects with the broader game style
-
Support production handoff by documenting implementation details, edge cases, interaction rules, and dependencies
-
Contribute to seasonal updates, publishing tasks, and live-service UI iteration
Requirements
-
At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in UX or UI technical design
-
Strong experience implementing game UI within Unreal Engine

Solid understanding of layout, interaction design, UI motion, animation timing, and responsive behavior
-
Ability to work closely with engineering while staying comfortable with visual and experiential design concerns
-
Practical experience creating prototypes and production-ready UI assets or screens directly in-engine
-
Familiarity with Figma-based design workflows for collaboration and handoff
-
Ability to iterate quickly in a shifting creative and technical environment
-
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across UX, art, engineering, design, production, VFX, and sound
-
Good understanding of multi-platform UI constraints, particularly mobile-centric interaction patterns
