We are searching for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play an engaged part in defining how automation testing is designed, executed, and evolved throughout the project. You will collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to keep testing practices in step with modern development workflows and to consistently deliver dependable, high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities

Establish the overall test strategy spanning all automation-related activities

Set up tools and arrange the environment required to support automation initiatives

Improve the existing Katalon Studio framework to broaden its capabilities

Author detailed test cases targeting critical functional areas and scenarios
-
Propose effective solutions for testing challenges and workflow enhancements
-
Execute test cases and monitor their results throughout each execution cycle
-
Generate user-friendly test reports that give stakeholders clear insight into progress

Connect Katalon automation reports with Polarion for centralized tracking
-
Validate custom keywords applied within automation frameworks
-
Deploy the setup needed for smooth and reliable automation operations
-
Roll out clear test processes for the team to follow in a consistent manner

Allocate roles and responsibilities within the automation team

Mentor team members on automation frameworks and recommended best practices

Support and coach the team throughout the full development lifecycle

Facilitate the transfer of automation work and knowledge to the wider team
Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of applied professional experience in automation engineering

Experience with automation testing embedded into DevOps pipelines
-
Hands-on delivery of automation using Katalon Studio and Appium
-
Practical exposure to unit testing and UX testing efforts
-
Working understanding of TDD and BDD frameworks for well-structured test creation
-
Track record of working within fast-paced Agile environments
-
Solid familiarity with Katalon, Bitbucket, GitLab, TeamCity, and Source Tree
-
Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate test automation initiatives
-
Skill in shaping and communicating the test strategy to the automation team
-
Capability to ensure the team consistently upholds standard automation processes
-
Applied experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven test scenarios and Selenium for automating web application tests

Strong English communication at B2 level or above, in both written and spoken forms
Nice to have

Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for managing test activities and defect tracking

Background in Continuous Integration development and maintenance to reinforce automated workflows

Practical involvement in GUI testing across various platforms and applications

Working command of Postman for API testing and validation

Experience with web service and API test automation
