Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Metrology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive or metal manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience programming and operating CMM equipment (Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Vernier Calipers
- Micrometers
- Dial Indicators
- Height Gauges
- Surface Roughness Testers
- Optical Comparators
- Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency is preferred.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Metrology Laboratory.
- Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Develop and validate measurement programs for new products.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
- Perform dimensional inspections and prepare measurement reports.
- Manage the calibration program for measuring equipment and instruments.
- Provide metrology support to Production, Quality, and Engineering departments.
- Participate in APQP, PPAP, MSA, and other Automotive Core Tools activities.
- Investigate and resolve dimensional quality issues.
- Maintain metrology records in compliance with IATF 16949 requirement
