A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Test Engineer at MKS Instruments, you will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Product Development teams to design, develop, validate, and support automated test solutions that ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective test methods, diagnostic programs, and test equipment for new and existing products.
- Creating and maintaining test fixtures, specifications, procedures, and validation plans to support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness.
- Planning and coordinating testing activities, including labor, equipment, schedules, and resources required to evaluate standard and specialized products.
- Sustaining manufacturing test systems by troubleshooting issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and uptime.
- Supporting Industry 4.0 and process automation initiatives through development of automated test solutions, data acquisition systems, and manufacturing process enhancements.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, reliability, compliance, and adherence to safety standards.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel may be required.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree (Electronic or Mechatronic)
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Programming experience in LabVIEW for automated testing and data acquisition applications.
- Electronics background including troubleshooting, diagnostics, instrumentation, and test methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, Industrial IoT, automation systems, and smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience with manufacturing data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of additional programming environments such as Python, TestStand, or SQL.
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities in a manufacturing environment.
