The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Excellence – Latin America is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, supply chain transformation, and organizational capability development across the Latin America region. This position oversees a network of six country-level supply chain operations executed through third-party logistics providers (3PLs), while leading the deployment of BD Excellence principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and performance management systems that enable superior customer service, operational agility, and sustainable business growth.
The role is accountable for developing a high-performing Supply Chain Excellence organization composed of eight direct reports, assessing current capabilities, accelerating leadership development, and building a culture aligned with BD SC Excellence expectations. Working across Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, Commercial Operations, Finance, Quality, and external partners, the Senior Manager will lead transformational initiatives that improve service, reduce complexity, increase productivity, and strengthen end-to-end supply chain performance throughout Latin America.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Lean Six Sigma, change leadership, organizational development, and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence across a highly matrixed regional and global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Supply Chain Excellence Strategy & Transformation

Develop and execute the Latin America Supply Chain Excellence roadmap aligned with regional and global business objectives.

Lead transformation initiatives focused on improving customer service, operational reliability, inventory performance, forecast accuracy, logistics execution, and end-to-end supply chain agility.

Accelerate the deployment and maturity of BD SC Excellence principles, tools, and behaviors across the region.

Establish a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational discipline through standardized processes and performance management systems.

Partner with regional and global leadership teams to identify strategic opportunities for supply chain optimization and organizational effectiveness.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Lead cross-functional initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, A3 Problem Solving, and other BD Excellence methodologies.

Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across planning, order management, logistics, distribution, inventory management, and customer service processes.

Facilitate root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance.

Standardize key business processes and leverage digital capabilities and analytics to improve visibility, decision-making, and productivity.

Establish continuous improvement pipelines with measurable financial and operational benefits.
BD Excellence Deployment & Performance Management

Design, implement, and sustain tiered performance management systems across the LATAM Supply Chain organization.

Deploy visual management practices and operational scorecards that drive transparency, accountability, and rapid issue resolution.

Ensure performance reviews are connected to strategic priorities and operational objectives.

Develop and monitor metrics that measure operational effectiveness, customer service, employee engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement maturity.

Lead governance routines that reinforce execution discipline and foster a culture of operational excellence.
Organizational Capability Building & Talent Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of eight direct reports, ensuring alignment with BD Excellence leadership expectations and future organizational requirements.

Assess organizational capabilities and establish development plans to strengthen technical expertise, business acumen, leadership effectiveness, and continuous improvement competencies.

Build succession plans and talent pipelines that support long-term organizational sustainability.

Drive adoption of BD Excellence by mentoring leaders and teams in structured problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and operational leadership practices.

Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Change Management & Stakeholder Leadership

Act as a change leader for regional transformation initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new operating models, processes, systems, and capabilities.

Influence and align stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Global Operations.

Communicate effectively with senior leadership by translating operational insights into strategic business recommendations.

Lead without direct authority across multifunctional teams and external partners to achieve ambitious business outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field required.

Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 10–15 years of progressive supply chain, logistics, operations, or operational excellence experience.

Minimum 5 years leading regional teams and large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex supply chain operations across multiple countries.

Proven experience working in a SC environment operated with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and external service partners.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, customer service, logistics, distribution, inventory management, and performance management systems.

Experience leading organizational transformation, capability building, and change management initiatives.

Demonstrated success in developing leaders and building high-performing teams.

Excellent communication, executive presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
