Technical Triage Analyst – Autonomous Systems (ADAS/Automotive)
Location: Mexico (Remote)
Contract Type: Contractor
Rate: USD/month
Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Triage Analyst with experience analyzing complex technical data, software/system behavior, and defect patterns within automotive, ADAS, autonomous systems, embedded systems, or similar environments.
This role is focused on technical investigation and classification of system events, not traditional software testing. The ideal candidate can analyze system outputs, diagnostics, logs, and technical evidence to determine what happened, how the event should be categorized, and which engineering team should own the issue.
The Technical Triage Analyst will review structured event data, identify behavioral anomalies, apply classification guidelines, and provide clear documentation supporting engineering decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review technical event tickets and supporting artifacts from autonomous/automotive systems.
- Analyze system outputs, logs, telemetry, diagnostics, screenshots, videos, and other technical evidence.
- Investigate behavioral anomalies and identify potential defect patterns.
- Apply established triage and classification guidelines consistently.
- Determine event categories and route issues to the appropriate engineering teams.
- Link related defects, incidents, and engineering issues based on defined criteria.
- Document analysis, findings, rationale, and evidence supporting classification decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during issue reviews and investigations.
- Participate in calibration sessions and quality reviews to improve triage accuracy.
- Follow structured processes and continuously improve documentation quality.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical QA, validation, operations, defect triage, system analysis, or engineering support roles.
- Experience working with Jira or similar ticket management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical information and troubleshoot system behavior.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, guidelines, and classification frameworks.
- Comfortable analyzing software/system data, logs, and troubleshooting information.
- Experience working with automotive, embedded, IoT, robotics, or complex software systems.
- English B2
Must Have Experience
- ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) experience is required.
- Experience analyzing automotive system behavior, vehicle data, or embedded system outputs.
- Exposure to autonomous systems, robotics, connected devices, or vehicle software platforms.
Preferred Backgrounds
Candidates with experience in:
- Autonomous Vehicle data/event triage
- ADAS validation or testing
- Automotive software QA
- Embedded systems validation
- Robotics testing and diagnostics
- IoT/device testing
- Vehicle systems troubleshooting
- Software defect analysis and engineering escalation
Important Note
This is not a traditional Autonomous Vehicle Tester role. We are looking for professionals who can analyze autonomous system events and answer:
“What happened in this autonomous system event, what category does it belong to, and which engineering team should own it?”
The ideal candidate understands software/system behavior, can interpret technical evidence, and has experience performing structured triage and analysis.
