Position Overview
The Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate compliance with federal tax obligations, assisting in the preparation of tax filings, maintaining documentation, and supporting tax audits and planning processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all tax-related processes are executed with precision, in coordination with the Tax Associate and other team members.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Compliance

Gather and organize monthly financial and operational data required for tax computations.

Prepare working papers to support the calculation of monthly tax prepayments in collaboration with the external outsourcing firm.

Assist in providing detailed and exceptional information related to tax compliance (e.g., withholding taxes, debt repayments, FX).

Conduct initial reviews of tax computations and provide them to the Tax Associate for validation.

Assist in the preparation of working papers and support documentation for annual tax returns.

Maintain organized records of tax filings and related documentation.

Support the preparation of compliance documentation related to FIBRA tax obligations, including annual profit calculations and required disclosures.

Help monitor due dates and ensure timely submission of tax obligations.
2. Attention to Official Notices and Audits

Assist in compiling and organizing information required for responses to official notices or tax audits.

Work with the Tax Associate to prepare documentation and respond to tax authority requests.

Help track the progress and deadlines of audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

Maintain updated records of all notices and audit cases (open or closed).
3. Tax planning

Support the Tax Associate in compiling financial data and preparing calculations for tax planning projects.

Assist in the preparation of annual income tax provision estimates.

Help gather information for tax strategy implementation efforts such as cash repatriation, interest limitation, and deferred tax tracking.

Maintain working papers related to deferred tax calculations.
4. Generals
-
Collaborate with internal departments to collect information relevant to tax filings and reports.

Assist in the reconciliation of accounting and tax data.

Provide general support to the tax team during quarterly budget planning and year-end close.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

1–2 years of experience in a tax compliance or corporate tax role.

Basic knowledge of Mexican tax law and concepts.

Internship or professional experience in multinational or public accounting firms is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Basic understanding of tax concepts related to FIBRAs, withholding taxes, and income tax is preferred.

Comfortable working with financial data and documentation.

English proficiency (basic to intermediate level desirable).

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
