As a Sr. Product Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and evaluating engineering solutions to fulfill product requirements for transformers, contactors, transfer switches, and temperature sensors. Reporting to the R&D Engineering team, you will support product development, enhancements, validation activities, and technical problem-solving by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will ensure products meet design specifications, quality requirements, and customer expectations through effective engineering practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop, modify, and evaluate product design options to support product development and product enhancements.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, product deviations, and engineering challenges.
Prepare project reports, perform product and data analysis, and define technical specifications.
Support project management activities, including project planning, scheduling, and execution tracking.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and product specifications.
Define and support testing protocols and ensure product validation plans are executed according to requirements.
Review, approve, reject, or modify engineering changes related to BOMs, drawings, and product specifications.
Support product compliance activities related to engineering standards and third-party agency approvals.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
2–5 years of experience in electrical-mechanical product design or engineering development (experience with transformers, contactors, or relays is preferred).
Experience supporting assembly manufacturing processes and project management activities.
Strong knowledge of engineering change processes and product development practices.
Experience with third-party agency approval processes and standards such as UL, CSA, and CCC.
Intermediate to advanced CAD experience (Inventor or SolidWorks) and knowledge of GD&T.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
