We are seeking a highly motivatedRegulatory Affairs Coordinator to ensure regulatory compliance across the full pet food product portfolio, including locally manufactured, imported, and Mars supplier products. This role will serve as a strategic business partner supporting innovation initiatives, safeguarding regulatory compliance, and ensuring that all technical, scientific, and commercial communications remain accurate, competitive, and legally compliant.
Qualifications Experience
- Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience in Regulatory Affairs, Quality, or related compliance functions.
- Strong understanding of regulations applicable to the pet food industry.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory registration processes and product compliance requirements.

- Ability to act as the Authorized Responsible Veterinarian (MVRA) before SENASICA, subject to holding the required professional credentials and license.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Regulatory Registration Innovation Support
- Lead and manage the regulatory registration process for new products, ensuring timely submission of technical dossiers in alignment with innovation project timelines.
- Provide regulatory leadership for formula change projects not associated with innovation, conducting risk assessments to ensure compliance and business continuity.
- Coordinate with external consultants to obtain and validate critical regulatory documentation, including Certificates of Free Sale (CFS/CLV) and special authorizations required for registrations.
Brand Integrity, Packaging Claims Compliance
- Ensure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of all brand communications, both on-pack and off-pack.
- Lead the approval process for product claims in Mexico while ensuring alignment with local legal requirements and regional affiliate guidelines.
- Review and approve packaging, artwork, labels, master specifications, and technical documentation to ensure consistency between registered formulas, final designs, and applicable regulations.
- Manage advertising material certifications through accredited verification bodies and ensure the proper use of approved claims.
- Plan and execute the Annual Claims Compliance Audit for Mexico, driving corrective actions and mitigating legal or reputational risks.
Regulatory Compliance Operational Support
- Ensure implementation of Quality Management Process (QMP) requirements related to Regulatory Affairs across manufacturing sites.
- Support import and export activities for product samples by managing regulatory requirements and obtaining health certificates when needed.
- Provide regulatory expertise during inspections, audits, and verification visits conducted by local or international authorities, including SADER and SENASICA.
- Act as the Authorized Responsible Veterinarian (MVRA), when applicable and qualified, to provide regulatory and veterinary oversight.
Stakeholder External Partner Management
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with regulatory authorities, external consultants, legal advisors, laboratories, and verification agencies.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Legal, Product Development (PDI), Corporate Affairs, Sales, Customer Marketing, and regional affiliates to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage operational interactions with external partners, including budget tracking, payment processes, authorization letters, and service coordination.
