The Gaming QA Engineer is responsible for designing and refining test plans, strategies, and approaches to ensure comprehensive and effective testing of software applications. They play a vital role in understanding project requirements, identifying test scenarios, and creating test cases to validate software functionality.

This is an onsite position. You are required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Mexico City. So you shall be based in the Mexico City area or you are within commuting distance to our office.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Prior QA testing experience, gaming QA preferred (2+ years)
- Proven experience with bug tracking systems like ADO, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
- Proven experience with Microsoft and Google platforms (MS Office, Google Docs, etc.)
Primary responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to understand project requirements and define testing objectives.
- Analyze project documentation, such as user stories, functional specifications, and design documents, to identify testable features and requirements.
- Design test plans, test strategies, and test cases that cover various functional, non-functional, and edge cases to ensure maximum test coverage.
- Refine and optimize existing test cases to improve test efficiency, effectiveness, and maintainability.
- Identify and create test data and test environments necessary for executing test cases.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation and provide necessary inputs for test automation scripts.
- Conduct reviews and walkthroughs of test plans and test cases with stakeholders to ensure alignment and obtain feedback.
- Work closely with QA Testers to clarify test case execution details and provide guidance on test scenarios and expected results.
- Continuously monitor and track the status of test execution, defects, and test coverage, reporting any deviations or risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and support defect analysis to facilitate timely resolution.
- Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.
