This internship offers practical experience in maintaining and improving production equipment within the UAP 3 (Autonomous Production Unit 3) at Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV. The intern will support the maintenance team in ensuring operational efficiency and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment.
- Support the diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Participate in the implementation of improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime and optimizing equipment performance.
- Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve recurring technical issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.
- Support the development and updating of maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles within the maintenance context.
Job Qualifications:**
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eagerness to learn and develop practical maintenance skills.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or maintenance role (through academic projects or previous internships) is a plus.
- Availability to complete a full-time internship.
