The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Lead will establish and maintain a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This includes developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental programs, conducting regular audits and inspections, and ensuring the availability, maintenance, and proper use of safety and environmental protection equipment. The EHS Lead will be the key point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental matters, playing a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy, safe, and sustainable workplace.
In addition to core EHS responsibilities, this role includes managing risk assessments for new employees and those returning from maternity leave, and acting as the primary liaison with occupational health professionals regarding mandatory medical checks and job-related medical risks. The EHS Lead will also oversee facility-related operations, acting as the main contact for maintenance and supplier coordination to ensure the site remains compliant, operational, and environmentally responsible. Moreover, the role will drive recycling and sustainability initiatives, promoting continuous improvement and supporting the organization’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure the highest safety and compliance standards for staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Act as the primary liaison with medical personnel for mandatory controls and medical risks linked to job roles.
- Conduct risk assessments for new employees and returning maternity leave employees.
- Maintain and monitor the facility environment to ensure it meets safety and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors related to facility maintenance and safety equipment.
- Monitor and stay up to date with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including developing evacuation plans and drills.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive actions.
- Promote safety awareness and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

- Responsible for the development and implementation of all security-related processes and procedures, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to maintain a secure and low-risk environment.
- Oversee the procurement process with all facility-related suppliers, ensuring that services are delivered according to agreed terms, costs are accurately applied, and opportunities for cost improvement and operational efficiency are proactively identified and implemented.
- Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives focused on reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions within the office area, by identifying efficiency opportunities, promoting responsible resource usage, and supporting the company’s environmental goals and reporting requirements.
- Lead sustainability projects and initiatives within the office environment and the local community, focusing on waste reduction, responsible resource management, employee engagement, and community partnerships that align with the company’s broader ESG and sustainability commitments
- Develop, implement, and regularly update safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local laws and internal standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments (fise de risk) for new hires and employees returning from maternity leave, ensuring a safe reintegration into the workplace.
- Act as the main point of contact for occupational health professionals, coordinating mandatory health checks and managing medical risks associated with specific job roles.
- Perform regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and hygiene standards.
- Lead the implementation of the Crisis24 program and all related safety and security procedures, ensuring employee awareness and preparedness.
- Develop and maintain site security procedures and protocols, ensuring full legal compliance while proactively identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Plan and lead emergency response initiatives, including evacuation drills and safety simulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all departments by delivering targeted training sessions, safety campaigns, and awareness programs.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for inspections, incidents, trainings, medical certifications, and risk evaluations.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve safety and facility operations.
- Oversee all aspects of facility management, including coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for all facility-related suppliers, ensuring services are aligned with contractual terms, costs are applied correctly, and continuous improvements in cost efficiency and service quality are achieved.
- Build strong partnerships with key vendors and monitor their performance to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all facility-related operations.
- Identify, implement, and monitor energy efficiency measures within the office area—including lighting, heating, cooling, and equipment usage—with the goal of reducing carbon emissions and supporting internal environmental reporting and sustainability targets.
- Coordinate and deliver sustainability initiatives and community engagement projects—such as office-wide waste reduction programs, green awareness campaigns, and local environmental partnerships—to foster a culture of responsibility and align with the company’s ESG and corporate sustainability objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in a safety or facility management role.
- Relevant certifications for health and safety
- Experience conducting risk assessments and medical coordination.
- Strong knowledge of safety and facility compliance standards and regulations.
- Proficient in conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and managing corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Familiarity with facility operations and building maintenance protocols.
- Knowledge of emergency response and crisis management.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and service contracts.
- Valid driver’s license and first-aid certification.
Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
