B2B Geeks is looking for a Remote Network Monitoring & Support Technician to help support the monitoring services we provide to business clients.
This person will help monitor client networks, respond to alerts, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and help keep client devices functioning properly. The ideal candidate has networking experience, good English communication skills, and hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and business internet support.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client networks, devices, and alerts
- Configure, monitor, and update Fortinet / FortiGate equipment
- Configure, monitor, and update routers and switches
- Configure, monitor, and update Ruckus access points
- Configure and support Ubiquiti / UniFi equipment and access points
- Troubleshoot internet, Wi-Fi, phones, network connectivity, and basic desk support issues
- Assist clients and internal staff with support tickets
- Perform firmware updates and basic maintenance
- Document issues, work completed, and next steps
- Escalate complex issues when needed
- Help keep client devices online and functioning properly
Required skills
- Strong networking knowledge
- Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, and firewalls
- Experience with Fortinet / FortiGate equipment
- Experience with Ruckus access points
- Experience with Ubiquiti / UniFi equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot business internet and Wi-Fi issues
- Ability to communicate in English
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to work remotely and document work clearly
Preferred skills
- Previous MSP or NOC experience
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Experience supporting VoIP phones
- Experience with VPNs and remote access
- Fortinet, Ruckus, Ubiquiti, Cisco, or Network+ certifications are a plus
This is a remote position. Availability during U.S. business hours is preferred. Some after-hours or emergency support may be required depending on client needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $121.72 - $208.66 per hour
