Job objective:
Responsible for analyzing customer technical requirements and developing cutting strategies that enable accurate, competitive quotations while ensuring optimal material utilization. This role ensures the proper interpretation of customer technical information, the optimization of leather consumption, and the definition of the technical parameters required for the efficient management of new projects and product launches.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyzes customer technical information and participates in the definition of requirements for new projects.
- Develops cutting strategies, nesting simulations, and technical parameters to optimize leather utilization.
- Defines tooling requirements, product codes, utilization targets, and cutting configurations for projects and production.
- Configures and validates CNC cutting programs for simulations, prototypes, and production.
- Establishes leather quality criteria, cutting restrictions, and process technical standards.
- Leads material utilization improvement initiatives and provides technical support to Engineering, Production, and Launch teams.
- Manages technical documentation and cutting standards to ensure process consistency and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience in the automotive leather processing and cutting operations.
- Product and cost analysis skills.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FMEA methodologies.
- Advanced AutoCAD skills.
- Knowledge of Aurelia software is preferred.
- Ability to interpret GD&T drawings.
