Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) is looking for an Authorized Inspector to join our growing team in Durango, Mexico.
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to support the safe fabrication and operation of boilers, pressure vessels, and other code-related equipment. Working closely with manufacturers, quality teams, and engineering professionals, you will perform inspections that help ensure compliance with ASME requirements while promoting the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Perform duties as an ASME Authorized Inspector for new fabrication projects.

Conduct third-party inspections in accordance with HSB Global Inspection & Engineering Services programs and procedures.

Verify compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.

Review fabrication drawings, weld symbols, procedures, and quality documentation.

Evaluate manufacturing and quality control processes related to boilers and pressure vessels.

Support clients and manufacturers in achieving and maintaining code compliance.
Required Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
-
Minimum of two years of experience in the design, fabrication, operation, inspection, or maintenance of boilers and/or pressure vessels.
Technical Skills
-
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, including weld symbols.

Proficiency in the use of inspection and measurement tools.

Working knowledge of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Professional Skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

Non-Destructive Examination (NDE)

Experience verifying welding and NDE procedures and personnel qualifications.

Experience auditing ASME Certificate Holders and supporting Joint Reviews.

Knowledge of ASME Quality Program compliance requirements.
