Content Creator (Photography & Videography), NewSpace Africa Conference 2026
We are seeking an experienced, highly capable content creator for a temporary contract to support the NewSpace Africa Conference 2026. This role is focused on capturing and producing high-quality visual content, including photography and video, before and during the conference.
The ideal candidate will have strong professional photography and videography skills, with the ability to independently capture, edit, and deliver content in real time. Working closely with the communications team, the content creator will produce compelling visual assets that reflect the conference’s scale, quality, and impact across digital platforms.
This is a short-term, delivery-focused role requiring both creative and technical expertise, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, live event environment. The role is a 2-month contract (April – May 2025).
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photographs and video footage throughout the conference, including sessions, speakers, exhibitions, and networking activities.
- Edit and deliver curated photo selections daily for immediate use across social media and digital channels.
- Produce short-form video content, including highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes coverage.
- Work closely with the communications team to align content with messaging, branding, and real-time priorities.
- Identify and capture key moments that reflect the strategic, high-level nature of the event.
- Support the creation of post-event content, including recap videos and visual assets.
- Ensure timely delivery of all content in line with agreed schedules and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in professional photography and videography, particularly in event coverage.
- Strong editing skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality photos and videos within short timelines.
- Proficiency in editing tools (e.g. Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Ability to shoot, edit, and deliver content independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience creating content optimised for digital and social media platforms.
- Strong storytelling instincts and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, live event environment.
- Must own and be proficient in using professional camera equipment.
- Availability for the full duration of the conference and immediate post-event deliverables.
- A valid international passport.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a brief virtual interview and, if required, a quick practical assessment.
A 30–45 second event-style video edit using existing footage (or their past work), demonstrating their ability to create engaging, conference-ready content under time constraints.
