Partner with the best
As a Senior Well Intervention & Workover Technical Lead, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and supporting well intervention opportunities across a broad portfolio of oil and gas assets. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify production enhancement opportunities, optimize intervention programs, and provide independent technical recommendations to customers across Mexico and Latin America.
As a Senior Well Intervention & Workover Technical Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting excellence in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Quality, and compliance with applicable company policies and customer requirements.
- Leading technical evaluations of well intervention, workover, recompletion, and production enhancement opportunities.
- Developing intervention strategies to restore production, improve well performance, and maximize asset value.
- Assessing well integrity challenges and identifying remediation opportunities to improve operational reliability.
- Performing technical evaluation of intervention candidates and prioritizing opportunities based on value creation potential.
- Integrating reservoir, production, completion, and operational data to support intervention planning and decision-making.
- Providing technical consulting and independent engineering recommendations to operators, investors, and stakeholders.
- Supporting field development planning projects.
- Conducting production diagnostics, well performance analysis, and root cause investigations for underperforming assets.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Operations, and Subsurface disciplines.
- Developing technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for client and executive-level audiences.
- Participating in proposal preparation, customer engagement, and business development activities.
- Supporting mentoring and technical development of junior engineering personnel.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Have significant experience in well interventions, workovers, completions, production engineering, or well operations. (must)
- Demonstrate strong understanding of well integrity, completion systems, artificial lift, production optimization, and intervention technologies.
- Demonstrate experience evaluating intervention opportunities from technical perspective.
- Have experience working with onshore and offshore assets.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate proficiency with engineering and business software applications.
- Experience with PEMEX assets and/or private operators onshore in South Mexico will be considered a strong advantage.
- Previous experience in consulting, technical advisory, or due diligence projects is desirable.
