We are seeking an experienced Property Damage Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate property damage claims while serving as a trusted resource for attorneys, clients, and insurance carriers.

As our Property Damage Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in ensuring property damage claims are accurately investigated, properly documented, and strategically negotiated.
You'll collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, insurance carriers, repair facilities, and other stakeholders to strengthen claims, resolve disputes, and maximize financial recoveries while delivering an exceptional client experience.
Your work will directly influence claim outcomes, settlement value, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do
Claim Evaluation & Investigation
- Conduct comprehensive investigations of property damage claims, assessing causation, liability, scope of loss, and overall financial impact.
- Review repair estimates, photographs, inspection reports, policy documentation, and supporting evidence.
- Identify inconsistencies, undervalued damages, coverage issues, or improper claim denials.
- Evaluate claims using industry standards, insurance guidelines, and policy interpretation.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with clients to obtain required documentation and explain the claims process.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters, carriers, repair facilities, contractors, and third-party vendors.
- Manage client expectations by providing timely updates and clear communication throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Ensure all required documentation is collected accurately and efficiently.
Damage Assessment & Documentation
- Prepare accurate property damage evaluations, repair estimates, and professional claim summaries.
- Present findings to attorneys, clients, and insurance representatives in a clear and organized manner.
- Maintain complete and compliant documentation of all claim activities, communications, and negotiations.
- Ensure accurate case documentation within claims and case management systems.
Negotiation & Claim Resolution
- Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters to secure fair compensation for clients.
- Advocate for clients by challenging undervalued estimates, disputed damages, and unfavorable coverage determinations.
- Track claim progress from intake through final resolution while ensuring timely follow-up.
- Escalate complex claims when appropriate and support litigation strategy when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with attorneys, case managers, and legal support teams to strengthen case strategy and outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding property damage claims, insurance policies, and valuation methodologies.
- Support operational improvements that enhance claim handling efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to best practices for property damage investigations and negotiations.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Property Damage Claims Adjuster, Insurance Adjuster, or similar role handling property damage claims.
- Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, claims handling procedures, adjusting practices, and insurance workflows.
- Proven ability to evaluate damages, prepare accurate repair estimates, and negotiate successful settlements.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts to clients.
- Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Personal Injury Law Firm or insurance carrier.
- Experience handling complex automotive property damage or total loss claims.
- Familiarity with Filevine or other legal case management platforms.
- Experience using estimating platforms such as Xactimate, CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex.
- Professional claims adjusting or insurance certifications.
