Senior PLC & Automation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
The position involves the development of complete test systems, from Electrical Design and PLC Programming to manufacturing follow-up, debugging, documentation, system commissioning, and customer training on the functionality of the system.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare project scope documentation.
- Prioritize project activities independently.
- Meet project deadlines agreed upon with the customer.
- Design Electrical Diagrams.
- Develop PLC-based control software.
- Integrate Electrical, Mechanical, and Software systems.
- Perform complete system debugging and troubleshooting.
- Develop electrical and software system documentation.
- Install and commission test systems at customer facilities.
- Provide training to the final customer.
- Provide technical support during system implementation and commissioning.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in industrial automation.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on PLC programming experience — REQUIRED.
- Experience with Ignition.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience developing electrical diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN Electric, or AutoCAD.
- Experience developing software for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC): Allen-Bradley, Siemens, OMRON, or Mitsubishi — REQUIRED.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols: Serial, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profinet, and Profibus.
- Knowledge of Machine Vision systems: Keyence and Cognex.
- Experience with system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
- Valid U.S. Visa — REQUIRED.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- English — REQUIRED. Ability to communicate and understand English in technical and professional environments.
