Customs Analyst

We specialize in end-to-end supply chain integration for the manufacturing industry, connecting global operations, strategic customers, and suppliers from raw materials to finished products.
We are looking for a Customs Analyst with hands-on experience in import and export operations, customs compliance, documentation control, and follow-up of cross-border transactions.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the complete customs process and can ensure that every operation is properly documented, updated, monitored, and completed in compliance with applicable requirements.
What You'll DoImport & Export Operations
- Prepare import and export invoices under different customs regimes within the inventory control system.
- Perform detailed documentary reviews of import and export transactions.
- Follow up on customs operations from documentation through completion.
- Ensure each transaction is accurately updated in the inventory control platform.
- Maintain clear and timely status updates for internal and external customers.
- Coordinate customs documentation with the Logistics team and transportation operators.
- Maintain communication with U.S.-based warehouse personnel to support import documentation.
- Work directly with customers on the analysis and classification of components and products.
- Coordinate the weekly or monthly closing of consolidated customs entries (pedimentos consolidados) with the Mexican customs broker.
Customs Compliance
- Maintain complete and organized physical and electronic customs files.
- Support compliance related to IMMEX and VAT Certification (Certificación IVA).
- Apply applicable customs laws, regulations, and operational requirements.
- Support controls related to Annexes 22, 24, and 30.
- Maintain operational and management reports according to business requirements.
- Follow up on documentation, pending actions, and compliance requirements until closure.
Certifications & Internal Controls
Support activities and controls related to:
- C-IVA
- OEA
- C-TPAT
- Customs reports required by management
- Internal customs documentation and compliance controls
You will also collaborate closely with Logistics, transportation providers, customs brokers, customers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of daily operations.
What We're Looking ForMust-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Trade, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export operations, foreign trade, or as a Customs Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with import and export documentation.
- Knowledge of IMMEX.
- Knowledge of tariff classification / HS classification.
- Knowledge of Mexican customs laws and regulations.
- Experience with consolidated customs entries (pedimentos consolidados).
- Knowledge of Annexes 22, 24, and 30.
- Experience following customs operations and documentation through completion.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or knowledge in any of the following will be considered a strong plus:
- PRISMA Global Trade / Sistema de Comercio Global
- VAT Certification / Certificación IVA
- OEA
- C-TPAT
- Entries
- In-bond operations
- Shipper Export documentation
- ISF
- Cross-border operations involving Mexico and the United States
