Job description:
New Client Specialist – Mexico
Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers | Monterrey, Mexico
Where Hospitality Meets the Law
At Scott Vicknair, we don't think of ourselves as a "law firm" in the cold, corporate sense. We think of ourselves as a team that shows up for people on some of the hardest days of their lives — and treats them the way we'd want our own family treated. That's not a tagline. It's how we hire, how we train, and how we measure whether we're doing our job right.
We're looking for a New Client Specialist who wants to be at the center of that mission. This isn't simply a phone-answering role. It's a position where you become one of the first voices a potential client hears after they've been injured — helping them feel heard, supported, and confident in taking the next step with our firm.
If you're organized, personable, persuasive, and energized by connecting with people and helping turn opportunities into clients, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Answer and direct phone calls for all new client leads
- Manage outstanding leads through our Client Retention Management system, prioritize follow-up, and work to sign qualified leads as new clients
- Organize and schedule appointments to speak with prospective clients
- Plan calls and take detailed notes
- Write and distribute emails, correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact lists for all leads
- Keep lead information organized and current within the firm's systems
- Follow up with leads and maintain consistent communication throughout the intake process
- Work closely with the team to ensure new client opportunities are handled efficiently and professionally
Who Thrives Here
- You genuinely like people and know how to make someone feel heard and cared for
- You're comfortable speaking with prospective clients who may be stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next
- You're organized and able to manage multiple leads and priorities without losing track of the details
- You're confident communicating by phone, email, and in writing
- You take ownership. If something needs to be followed up on, you don't wait to be reminded — you handle it
- You're persuasive without being pushy and understand the importance of building trust
- You have prior experience with legal intake, sales, or customer service
- You have excellent time management skills and can prioritize your work effectively
- You have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- You work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive, solutions-focused environment
- You are fluent in English and comfortable communicating professionally with English-speaking clients
Why Team Members Stay
- A culture that actually backs its words up. We hold each other accountable, we place client interests above our own, and we mean it — ask anyone on our team.
- Real growth, real advancement. We're expanding across South Louisiana, and we promote from within whenever we can.
- You'll have the tools to succeed. We provide a company-issued laptop and equipment needed to perform your role.
- You'll never wonder if your work matters. Every call you answer and every lead you help convert represents someone who may be reaching out on one of the hardest days of their life. We take that seriously, and we make sure you feel the weight and the reward of that.
Our Core Values (What We Actually Live By)
- We always fight for the win.
- We do the right thing and hold each other accountable.
- We deliver an exceptional, hospitality-driven client experience.
- We respect others and lead with professionalism.
- We always place our client's interests before our own.
- We stay consistent and focused on solutions — for our clients and for each other.
