Job Objective:
Develop and ensure highly manufacturable products through the design, validation, and optimization of production processes. Evaluate technical feasibility and cost from the quotation phase, ensuring proper APQP execution and process stability during SOP and the first 90 days of production, while driving continuous improvement, waste reduction, cost optimization, and the implementation of new technologies to deliver value to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and design material flow within production lines to improve process control and efficiency.
- Develop manufacturing processes that comply with safety standards to protect personnel and ensure operational integrity.
- Create and maintain work instructions and visual aids to support operators and reduce quality risks.
- Develop and validate capable processes ensuring compliance with CPK and PPK requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, cost savings, and productivity enhancement.
- Support internal and external corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction and process reliability.
- Participate in PFMEA (Process FMEA) development for new product implementation.
- Ensure proper APQP execution from quotation through SOP and early production stages.
- Monitor and report any abnormalities in productivity, safety, quality, or environmental performance.
- Oversee applicable departmental procedures and ensure compliance.
- Support personnel competency development and certification (when applicable).
- Validate material release documentation and process-related approvals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering within the automotive industry (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred).
- Strong 2D CAD experience and medium 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software).
- Experience developing manufacturing layouts, tooling drawings, or production line designs using CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, and new product launch processes.
- Experience with process capability analysis (CPK, PPK).
- Experience supporting SOP and production ramp-up.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Advanced English (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Production, and Corporate teams.
- Results-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
