Summary:
The Functional Test Engineer is responsible for the setup, validation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of test systems and cooling-related equipment used in AI server manufacturing. This position supports testing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, analyzing test failures, implementing engineering changes, and driving corrective actions related to cooling system performance.
Job detail:
- Set up, validate, and qualify test racks and cooling-related equipment for AI server projects, including TIM machines, CDU systems, pressure gauges, N2 filling stations, and coolant filling equipment.
- Ensure proper functionality and readiness of test systems prior to production deployment.
- Monitor and review preventive maintenance activities for all test racks, cooling equipment, and machines used in the L10 test area.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Analyze test failures and identify root causes related to functional testing and cooling system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with coolant circulation, pressure, leakage, filling processes, and thermal management systems.
- Verify test procedures and recommend improvements to enhance test efficiency and product quality.
- Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and assess their impact on testing processes and equipment.
- Implement approved engineering changes and ensure proper validation before production release.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, and R&D teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain test documentation, validation reports, maintenance records, and troubleshooting logs.
Education and skills:
- Availability for 2nd Shift
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Digital Systems Engineering
- Experience at least 2 years in similar position
- Experience in electronic manufacturing environment
- Technical Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of relevant technical areas such as ability to interpret and modify test code, L10 cooling systems test racks design, test programs and test plans; regulatory standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge in programming languages (Python & Linux) as well as with basic networking knowledge is a plus.
- English 75% or higher (this requirement is a must)
