Job Description
Job is On-Site in Los Cabos
We are looking for a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Project Manager/Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems for hospitality and hotel development projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, brand standards, local regulations, Mexican codes and international hospitality industry requirements.
The MEP Project Manager works closely with architects, interior designers, operators, consultants, contractors, and hotel brands to deliver high-quality guest experiences while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and operational objectives.
Responsibilities include direct oversight and coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, ELV, BMS, and specialty systems throughout design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout phases.
Key Responsibilities

Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, hotel brand standards, local regulations, and hospitality industry best practices.

Manage and monitor the installation and integration of all MEP systems throughout design and construction, coordinating with consultants, contractors, operators, and stakeholders to ensure quality, schedule, budget, and successful project delivery.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years of professional experience managing MEP engineering, design, and construction for hospitality developments, including hotels, resorts, mixed-use hospitality, luxury residential, and large commercial projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience with Hotel Brand Standards is highly desirable.

Experience with HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, domestic water systems, wastewater systems, fire protection systems, kitchen and laundry systems, building automation and life safety systems.

Commissioning and hotel operational readiness experience required.

PMI certification is a plus.

LEED, WELL, EDGE, or sustainable hospitality certification experience is a plus.

Fluent English and Spanish, with the ability to lead client meetings, consultant workshops, contractor coordination meetings, and prepare technical reports.

Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, and BIM coordination processes.
