A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Transportation & Logistics Engineer, you will support New Build, Service Operations, Aftermarket, and Large Corrective projects by developing and validating transportation solutions for heavy-lift and oversized wind turbine components. Working closely with Logistics Project Managers, EHS team, carriers, and customers. You will ensure transportation activities are engineered, planned, and executed safely and efficiently. Your day may include reviewing transportation and lift plans, performing engineering calculations, evaluating route feasibility, supporting site assessments, and ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy transportation standards. Your expertise will play a key role in delivering components safely, on time, and in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Review and approve transportation engineering documentation, including method statements, lashing plans, lift plans, rigging plans, various trailer configurations, and RORO operations.
- Perform axle load, load distribution, center-of-gravity, and transport feasibility calculations for heavy and oversized cargo.
- Support route surveys, site assessments, and trial runs while identifying infrastructure improvements required for safe transportation operations.
- Review civil engineering and construction plans related to transportation access roads, laydown areas, and project logistics infrastructure.
- Develop transportation engineering drawings and analyses using AutoCAD, AutoTURN, GIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with Logistics, EHS, carriers, and customers to ensure compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and Siemens Energy procedures.
What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- +8 years of experience in transportation engineering, heavy-haul logistics, route analysis, or a related field.

Experience performing route surveys, permitting activities, transportation planning, and coordination of oversized cargo operations preferably in wind power logistics.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoTURN, GIS applications, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) required to effectively communicate with North American customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of structural, civil, and transportation engineering principles, including load and stability calculations, with willingness to travel up to 40% within the United States and Canada.

You will join the North America ON Logistics team, supporting logistics operations for new-build wind farm projects and service-related transportation activities. The team works closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, port operators, warehouse providers, and customers to ensure the safe and efficient movement of wind turbine components across North America. This role offers strong development opportunities while contributing directly to project success, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within Siemens Energy's logistics organization.
