Senior Financial Accountant
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in the organization's accounting function, partnering closely with the Financial Controller to manage accounting operations, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
This role is responsible for general ledger activities, full-cycle accounting processes, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close activities, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with cash management activities, including cash flow monitoring and account analysis.
- Analyze financial transactions and account activity to ensure proper classification and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency through automation and system optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with established procedures.
- Support special accounting projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, audit, or corporate finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and leadership levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
- English proficiency required
