In LS Cable & System Mexico the Logistics / Warehouse Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of domestic and international materials, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of products. This role is essential for maintaining operational continuity, inventory accuracy, and compliance with logistics processes, including import and export activities between LSCMX and global LS Cable & System facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receiving process for domestic and imported materials, verifying quantities, quality, and documentation.
- Record all inventory movements in the ERP system with high accuracy.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, identifying variances and root causes.
- Maintain warehouse organization, storage locations, and inventory rotation.
- Prepare and issue materials for production according to BOMs and work orders.
- Coordinate domestic and export shipments, including documentation, packing lists, labels, airway bills, and coordination with carriers and customs brokers.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, material handling standards, and PPE requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and report critical shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain 5S standards across all warehouse areas.
- Support internal and external audits related to inventory and logistics processes.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Planning, and Foreign Trade teams to ensure continuous material flow.
- Manage returns, rejected materials, and non-conforming product.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and logistics process optimization.
Requirements
- Engineering in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain within industrial environments.
- Warehouse operations and inventory control
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, CONTPAQi, etc.)
- Receiving, picking, shipping, and logistics documentation
- Cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations
- Material handling and safety standards
- Import and export processes (pedimentos, INCOTERMS, customs documentation, coordination with customs brokers)
- International material flow and global shipment control
- Basic–intermediate Excel skills (tables, filters, reports).
- Experience with barcode scanners and WMS systems (preferred).
- Forklift license (preferred).
- Intermediate English.
