As a Materials Management Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the materials management process, from parts on hand to inventory control delivered to the assembly lines. Your primary objectives will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing cost of inaccurate inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our production schedules.
You will report to the Materials Management Director and work on-site in our Chihuahua, Mexico location.
In this role, you will impact the company's bottom line by working with operations to ensure transactional accuracy, reduce operational expenses and ensuring a consistent flow of materials for production. Your proactive approach to materials management contributes significantly to meeting production deadlines, enhancing overall business resilience and customer satisfaction.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
- English Proficient
- Experience with proven transactional adherence in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Item Master functionality differences between raw material, work in process, purchased and finished goods for inventory control across fabrication and stock areas.
- Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in materials management software and ERP systems.

- Develop and oversee comprehensive materials management strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Utilize Oracle system transactional accuracy to match physical movements to ERP locations.
- Oversee material kitting to be able to deliver inventory to the assembly lines and shipping.
- Take the lead to facilitate Physical Inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Support a robust cycle count process driving root cause process improvement to prevent inventory errors before they occur again.
- Implement Standard Work for self-accountable and repeatable process control at all levels of the organization.
- Analyze data to be able to justify inventory levels aligned to the S&OP data from 6 to 12 months.
- Active management and a control plan for all non-nettable, negative, material review, excess and obsolete inventory demonstrating improvement to root cause correction over time.
- Maintain 5S standards related to inventory with measurable areas of improvement.
- Integrate and drive planning, internal logistics, warehousing and production control efforts.
- Deploy tangible methods for accountability across departments that foster effective communication and collaboration with production, quality control, and finance.
